Narcotics Officer

 

CNB is a premier drug enforcement agency in Singapore. Its vision is for a drug free Singapore.

It is looking for active and committed youths who are physically-fit and thrive on action.

As a Narcotics Officer, you will be part of an elite team with one objective - to keep Singapore a drug free nation. You can be posted to any of the 4 operational divisions: Intelligence, Enforcement, Supervision and Investigation.

MAIN DUTIES of Narcotics Officer

  • Carry out field operations to arrest drug offenders
  • Monitor and gather intelligence and evidence against drug offenders
  • Conduct undercover operations against drug traffickers
  • Put up investigation papers (IPs) with the view to prosecuting drug offenders in court
  • Conduct preventive drug education talks to youths and organizations
  • Be proficient in computer to create electronic IPs to update the CNB case management system (CMS)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Singapore Citizen
  • Male applicants must have completed National Service with medical fitness of PES 'A' or 'B'
  • Be physically fit
  • Have good eyesight without color blindness
  • At least 5 GCE ‘O’ level passes or Nitec (formerly NTC2)

TRAINING

  • Upon recruitment, you will undergo a 28-week training course at the Home Team Academy
  • The training course includes basic investigation skills, self-defence and weapons handling
  • Upon completion of training, you will serve a 2-year bond
