The Dialogue Session cum Workshop with Counsellors 2010 was organized by the Central Narcotics Bureau on 24 Feb 2010 at Police Cantonment Complex. The session was conducted with the aim to reach out to the counsellors so as to better understand their nature of work and to encourage them to share their experiences and challenges. It also served as a platform to discuss further collaboration opportunities and equipped participants with the basic skills on identifying drug abusers, referral process for counsellors as well as to heighten awareness on the current drug situation.
A certified gambling addiction and substance abuse counsellor from National Addictions Management Service was invited to touch on the overview of substance dependence treatment. The session attracted 76 participants from 50 schools and organisations.
