38th Meeting of the ASEAN Senior Officials on Drug Matters

The 38th Meeting of the ASEAN Senior Officials on Drug Matters (ASOD) was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 25 to 26 July 2017. The meeting was opened by Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Public Security, Mr Le Quy Vuong, on 25 July.
In his opening remarks, Mr Le Quy Vuong encouraged ASEAN Member States to strengthen regional cooperation in contributing to the ASEAN Work Plan on Securing Communities Against Illicit Drugs 2016-2025. He also called on ASEAN to enhance cooperation with
its Dialogue Partners and external parties to combat the menace of drugs together.
