The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 82 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 16 to 20 June 2025. A total of about 1,307g of cannabis, 739g of heroin, 196g of ‘Ice’, 52 cannabis seeds, 2 ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, 2g of cannabis resin and 1g of cannabis-infused tablet were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $132,000 and could potentially feed the addiction of 640 abusers for a week.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Merah, Changi, Punggol and Woodlands.
Foreign nationals arrested with over 1kg of cannabis seized
3. On 14 June, Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers responded to a call of assistance at a residential unit in the vicinity of Punggol Central. During their engagement with a 35-year-old Singaporean man, Police officers searched the unit and found substances believed to be controlled drugs and drug paraphernalia. The man was subsequently arrested for suspected drug offences. CNB officers were alerted and took over the investigation of the drug offences.
4. In the morning of 16 June, through follow-up investigations, CNB officers launched an operation at a residential unit in the vicinity of Yishun Avenue 6 which saw the arrest of a 34-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences. A search of the unit recovered a total of about 29g of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Subsequently in the evening, a follow-up operation was launched in the vicinity of Moonstone Lane where CNB officers arrested two male foreign nationals — a 31-year-old for suspected drug trafficking offences and a 37-year-old for suspected drug consumption offences. A search of the 31-year-old’s e-bike and his hideout in the vicinity of Saint Francis Road found a total of about 1,095g of cannabis, 19g of ‘Ice’, drug paraphernalia and cash amounting to $3,943.95.
Two suspected drug traffickers arrested
6. At about noon of 18 June, CNB officers arrested a 59-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences in the vicinity of Jalan Bukit Merah. Following the arrest, the man was escorted to his hideout in a residential unit in the same vicinity where CNB officers arrested a 69-year-old Singaporean man for drug related offences. A total of about 209g of heroin and 17g ’Ice’ were seized from the hideout.
7. Later in the afternoon, acting on information received, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Yishun Avenue 4 which saw the arrest of a 62-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences. Forced entry was effected as the man refused to comply with the lawful orders of the officers to open the door. A search of the unit recovered about 247g of heroin and small amount of ‘Ice’.
8. Under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 15g of diamorphine or “pure heroin” or more than 500g of cannabis, he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
9. Investigations into all arrested suspects are ongoing.
