104 arrested in island-wide anti-drug operation

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 104 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 12 to 17 April 2026. A total of about 1,079g of ‘Ice’, 793g of cannabis, 345g of heroin, 49g of ‘Ecstasy’, 38g of cannabis product, 5g of ketamine, 10 GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) tablets, four Erimin-5 tablets, 10 e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate and cash amounting to $6,708 were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $281,000. The heroin, ‘Ice’ and cannabis seized can potentially feed the addiction of 894 abusers for a week.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Bendemeer, Clementi, Jurong West, Marine Parade, Telok Blangah and Yishun.
Arrest of two suspected drug abusers led to the arrest of three suspected drug traffickers
3. In the early morning of 14 April, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Tampines Avenue 9 and arrested a married couple for suspected drug abuse. The man, aged 41, and the woman, aged 36, were both Singaporeans. A search was conducted at the unit, where a small amount of ‘Ice’ and drug paraphernalia were seized.
4. Later the same morning, acting on information received, CNB officers launched an operation at a shop in the vicinity of Bedok North, which led to the arrest of a 40-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug trafficking offence. Subsequently, officers raided the woman’s residential unit in the vicinity of Tampines. Searches were conducted at both premises where a total of 52g of ‘Ice’ and drug paraphernalia were seized from the lockers at her workplace and her residential unit.
5. Through follow-up investigations, CNB officers launched an operation in the vicinity of Bedok Reservoir View and arrested a 46-year-old Singaporean man, who is the husband of the 40-year-old Singaporean woman, for suspected drug trafficking offence.
6. On the same day, following up from the operation at Bedok Reservoir View, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Compassvale Street, where a 30-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for suspected drug trafficking offence. Various drug paraphernalia were seized from the unit.

7. On 14 April, CNB officers launched an operation in the vicinity of Prinsep Street and arrested a 34-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences and a 32-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug abuse. A search was conducted and a total of about 792g of ‘Ice’, 326g of heroin, 49g of ‘Ecstasy’ tablets and cash amounting to $2,303.15 were seized from the man and his motorcycle.
8. Later the same day, CNB officers raided the man’s hideout in the vicinity of Telok Blangah Rise which led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug abuse. Subsequently, officers raided the man’s residential unit in the vicinity of Yishun Avenue 1. Searches were conducted at both premises where a total of 42g of cannabis, 33g of ‘Ice’, and two Erimin-5 tablets were seized.

9. Under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 15g of diamorphine or “pure heroin”, or more than 250g of methamphetamine, he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
10. Investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.
