74 arrested in island-wide anti-drug operation; CNB leads multi-agency operation at nightlife establishments

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 74 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 5 to 9 October 2026. Controlled drugs including about 243g of heroin, 128g of ‘Ice’, 244g of cannabis, 20g of ketamine, ten Erimin-5 tablets, two LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) stamps, a bottle of liquid GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) and a bottle of methadone were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $48,600. The heroin, ‘Ice’ and cannabis seized could potentially feed the addiction of 224 abusers for a week.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Bedok, Hougang, Sengkang and Jurong.
Two Singaporean men arrested for suspected drug trafficking offences
3. On the morning of 5 October, CNB officers arrested a 30-year-old Singaporean man in his residential unit in vicinity of Cassia Crescent for suspected drug trafficking offences. About 49g of cannabis and drug paraphernalia were recovered within the unit.

Follow-up investigation subsequently led officers to a residential unit in the vicinity of Jalan Bukit Ho Swee, where a 38-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for suspected drug trafficking offences. Officers found ten Erimin-5 tablets in the man’s bag. Further investigation led officers to recover a plastic bag containing about 17g of cannabis, two LSD stamps and drug paraphernalia, at the rubbish chute on the first floor. The officers also found two rolled-up joints containing cannabis beside the rubbish chute.
Multi-agency operation conducted at nightlife establishments
5. On the night of 8 October, CNB led a multi-agency operation at several nightlife establishments to detect and deter drug abuse and other unlawful activities. The operation involved officers from the Singapore Police Force, the Health Sciences Authority and the Singapore Civil Defence Force. A total of 119 persons were checked during the joint operation, of whom 86 were administered saliva test on suspicion of drug consumption.
6. CNB will continue to work closely with its law enforcement partners to strengthen deterrence against drug abuse and other unlawful activities to ensure public spaces such as nightlife establishments are safe and orderly.
