99 arrested in island-wide anti-drug operation

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 99 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 2 to 6 February 2026. A total of about 210g of cannabis, 146g of heroin, 80g of ‘Ice’, 7g of ketamine, 100 Tapentadol tablets, 11 ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, a small amount of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), an LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) stamp, a bottle of methadone, numerous vape-related products including 75 e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate and cash amounting to $7,075.35 were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $38,000.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Ang Mo Kio, Chua Chu Kang, Jurong, Marine Parade, Marsiling and Sembawang.
Arrest of two suspected drug abusers led to the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker
3. In the morning of 3 February, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Tengah and arrested a 31-year-old Singaporean man and a 24-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug-related offences. Forced entry into the unit was effected as the duo refused to comply with lawful orders to grant officers access to the unit and the rooms they were in. A small amount of ‘Ice’ and drug paraphernalia were seized.
4. Following up from the operation at Tengah, in the early hours of 4 February, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Chua Chu Kang and arrested a 26-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences. A total of about 123g of cannabis, 6g of ketamine and drug paraphernalia were seized from the man’s bedroom.
Arrest of three suspected drug abusers and two suspected drug traffickers
5. In the morning of 5 February, CNB officers launched multiple operations in the vicinity of Marsiling. In one of the operations at Marsiling Lane, CNB officers arrested a 63-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug abuse and a 65-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug trafficking offences, at their respective homes. Searches were conducted at both premises, and a small amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia were seized from the 65-year-old man’s flat.
6. On the same morning, CNB officers concurrently launched follow-up operations at several residential units in the vicinity of Marsiling Road. A 52-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for suspected drug abuse at one unit, while two other Singaporean men, aged 60 and 69, were arrested for suspected drug trafficking offences and suspected drug abuse, respectively, at a separate unit where a total of about 15g of heroin, 12g of ‘Ice’, drug paraphernalia and cash amounting to $6626.60 were seized.

7. Under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug.
8. Investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.
