CNB arrested 82 in island-wide anti-drug operation

The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested 82 suspected drug offenders in an island-wide anti-drug operation from 14 to 18 September 2026. Controlled drugs including about 1,151g of cannabis, 146g of ‘Ice’, 45g of heroin, 9g of ketamine, four ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, and two LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) stamps were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $46,700. The heroin, ‘Ice’ and cannabis seized could potentially feed the addiction of 270 abusers for a week.
2. Some of the areas covered during this island-wide operation included Ang Mo Kio, Macpherson, Geylang and Lavender.
Three foreign nationals arrested for suspected drug offences
3. In the evening of 15 September, CNB officers arrested a 40-year-old male foreign national in the vicinity of Lorong 12 Geylang for suspected drug trafficking offences. Follow-up investigations subsequently led officers to a hotel along Sims Avenue, where a 43-year-old male foreign national and 34-year-old female foreign national were arrested for suspected drug offences.

The 43-year-old man was escorted to the hotel room he was staying in, where officers recovered about 185g of cannabis, a small amount of ‘Ice’ and ‘Ecstasy’, as well as several drug paraphernalia from the room. At about the same time, officers arrested the 34-year-old woman in another room on the same floor. A search of the room recovered 15g of ‘Ice’ and several drug paraphernalia.
Arrests of 13 men at a private residential building in Geylang for suspected drug offences
5. In the evening of 16 September, CNB officers conducted an enforcement operation at a private residential building along Lorong 22 Geylang and arrested 13 men for suspected drug offences. Eleven of them, comprising three Singaporeans and eight foreign nationals, aged between 20 and 53, were arrested from eight rooms in the building. Another two men, both foreign nationals aged 26 and 31 years old, were arrested on the ground floor of the premises.
6. During the operation, a total of about 12g of ‘Ice’ and several drug paraphernalia were seized from the premises. Preliminary investigations revealed that all the men arrested were suspected to have consumed controlled drugs.

7. Deputy Assistant Commissioner Lim Sze Yuk, Deputy Director of Enforcement Division said:
“CNB will actively pursue those who abuse or traffic drugs, and offenders will be dealt with firmly under the law. Business owners and operators who knowingly allow or facilitate drug activities on their premises should be under no illusion - CNB will investigate and take firm enforcement action against all persons involved. Keeping Singapore safe and drug-free is a shared responsibility, and we encourage everyone to play their part by staying alert and reporting suspicious activities to the relevant authorities."
8. Investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.
