CNB arrests five in major anti-drug operation, seizes over 1,200 e-vaporiser pods

On 25 and 26 February 2026, officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) launched an anti-drug operation and arrested five Singaporeans, four men and one woman, for suspected drug offences. Numerous vape-related products including 1,284 e-vaporiser pods and nine e-vaporisers believed to contain etomidate, cash including SGD 243,451.35, as well as small amounts of foreign currencies, high luxury watches and three vehicles were seized.
2. In the evening of 25 February, acting on information received, a 36-year-old Singaporean man was arrested in the vicinity of Bedok North for suspected drug-related offences. The man put up a violent struggle, and necessary force was used to restrain him. 50 e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate were seized.
3. Later in the same evening, CNB officers arrested a 29-year-old Singaporean man at the junction of Sembawang Road and Mandai Avenue for suspected drug-related offences. The man was subsequently escorted to a unit in a self-storage facility in the vicinity of Woodlands Close, where 1,084 e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate were seized. The man’s vehicle was subsequently seized.
4. In a concurrent operation, CNB officers raided a residential unit located in the vicinity of Miltonia Close and arrested a 37-year-old Singaporean man and a 29-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug-related offences. A search of the unit recovered numerous vape-related products including 145 e-vaporiser pods and nine e-vaporisers believed to contain etomidate, cash amounting to SGD 243,451.35, as well as small amounts of foreign currencies and high luxury watches. Two vehicles belonging to the man were also seized.
5. In the early hours of 26 February, CNB officers raided another residential unit located in the vicinity of Woodlands Drive and arrested a 19-year-old Singaporean man for suspected drug-related offences. Numerous vape-related products including five e-vaporiser pods believed to contain etomidate were seized from the unit.
