Drugs including more than 3kg of cannabis seized

On 7 July 2026, officers from the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested a 25-year-old male foreign national for suspected drug trafficking offences. Drugs including about 3,329g of cannabis, 121g of ‘Ice’ and 55g of ‘Ecstasy’, and cash amounting to $1,259.90 were seized. The drugs seized are estimated to be worth more than $81,000 and could potentially feed the addiction of 546 abusers for a week.
2. In the early hours of 7 July, a 25-year-old man was arrested by CNB officers after the car that he was travelling in was intercepted along Kim Keat Road. Officers conducted a search of the car and found about 3,129g of cannabis on the floorboard of the rear passenger seat.
3. The man was then escorted to his residential unit in a condominium in the vicinity of Geylang East. A search of the unit recovered about 200g of cannabis, 121g of ‘Ice’, and 55g of ‘Ecstasy’.

4. Under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug. If a person is found guilty of trafficking more than 500g of cannabis, he or she may face the mandatory death penalty.
5. Investigations into the drug activities of the arrested suspect are ongoing.
