Seven foreign nationals arrested in separate anti-drug operations conducted at migrant worker dormitories

Seven Bangladeshi men, aged between 20 and 40, were arrested for suspected drug-related offences in three separate operations conducted at migrant worker dormitories from 8 to 11 December 2025.
2. The enforcement operations were jointly conducted by officers from the Singapore Police Force (SPF), Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), Health Sciences Authority (HSA), Singapore Customs and Ministry of Manpower (MOM), as part of sustained efforts to clamp down on illegal activities, including drug offences and other crimes.
Suspected drug abuser arrested in Jurong West
3. In the evening of 8 December 2025, CNB officers arrested a 25-year-old Bangladeshi man at a migrant worker dormitory located in the vicinity of Jurong West for suspected drug consumption offences.
Two arrested for suspected drug offences in Seletar
4. On 9 December 2025, two Bangladeshi men were arrested at a migrant worker dormitory located in the vicinity of Seletar – a 23-year-old man for suspected drug consumption offences and a 29-year-old man for suspected drug trafficking offence. A search was conducted, and a small amount of ‘Ice’ and various drug paraphernalia were seized from the 29-year-old man and his living area.
Four suspected drug offenders arrested in Choa Chu Kang
5. In the evening of 11 December 2025, an operation was launched at a migrant worker dormitory located in the vicinity of Choa Chu Kang. Four Bangladeshi men, aged between 20 and 40, were arrested for suspected drug-related offences. A small amount of ‘Ice’ and various drug paraphernalia were seized from a 24-year-old suspect.

6. Under Section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973, it is an offence for a person, on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of any other person, whether or not that other person is in Singapore, to traffic in a controlled drug, offer to traffic in a controlled drug; or to do or offer to do any act preparatory to or for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug.
7. Superintendent Lim Wee Beng, Deputy Director of Enforcement Division said:
"CNB will take decisive action against drug activities, no matter where it occurs – in our communities, workplaces, or residential premises. Drugs have no place in Singapore, and those involved in drug activities will face the full force of the law. We remain committed to protect the safety and well-being of all, including our migrant workers, and will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to detect, disrupt, and prevent drug-related threats.

8. Investigations into the drug activities of all arrested suspects are ongoing.
