05 Jul 2022

Officers from Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) arrested five Singaporean men, aged between 48 and 58, for suspected drug activities on 4 July 2022. A total of about 1,062g of ‘Ice’, 147g of heroin and 1g of cannabis, with a total estimated street value of $223,000, were seized during the operation. 2.           In the late afternoon of 4 July, CNB officers raided a residential unit in the vicinity of Jalan Bukit Merah. Forced entry was effected as the suspected drug offenders had refused to heed the lawful orders of CNB officers to open the door, and the five men were arrested. About 39g of ‘Ice’ and 9g of heroin, along with cash amounting to $6,000, were recovered from the 57-year-old man, who was the registered occupant of the unit. About 31g of heroin was recovered from the 58-year-old man, and a small amount of ‘Ice’ was also recovered from the 55-year-old man. A search of the unit was conducted, and about 1,023g of ‘Ice’, 107g of heroin, 1g of cannabis and various drug paraphernalia were seized from various locations in the unit.
