The annual DrugFreeSG Campaign is back from June to September with a variety of events and activities that you can participate in to show your support for a drug-free Singapore with your friends and family! Together, we can build a Singapore without drugs where everyone can live, work and play safely. Read on to find out how you can support the drug-free cause!

Organised by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), the DrugFreeSG Campaign aims to commemorate the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (also known as ‘World Drug Day’), which falls on 26 June, as designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 1987. The theme for this year’s campaign is Creating Memories, inspiring the public to find a positive reason to lead a drug-free life to create memories and enjoy shared experiences with their loved ones.

This year’s DrugFreeSG Campaign kicked off with a blast at Our Tampines Hub on 24 June 2023 with the DrugFreeSG Carnival. The two day event featured an exciting line up of live performances from our community partners and our guest of honour Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State for the Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of National Development, as well as interactive carnival games and exhibits. Our officers and A3 Network Advocates were also present to engage and educate members of the public on the harms of drugs.

Every year on 26 June, Singapore holds the DrugFreeSG Light-Up to commemorate World Drug Day. Iconic buildings and landmarks around the island will be illuminated in green or white, the colours of the anti-drug ribbon, to symbolise the community’s united stance against drug abuse. This year, 43 partners, including ten new community partners, participated in the event to create a beautiful skyline on this night.
